Does every car need the app?
Yes. At least one iPhone in each car needs Leadwolf so the car shows up on the map and can be guided.
How does a car join the pack?
The first car starts the pack and shows a QR code. In the other car, open Leadwolf, tap “Join pack” and scan the code. Both iPhones then show a PIN. If it matches, the first car taps “Let in”.
What's the difference between a route and following?
With a route, every car drives to the shared destination on its own and can pick its own way. When following, Leadwolf guides you right behind a specific car, even if it turns spontaneously.
How does the walkie-talkie work?
Hold the orange microphone button, speak for up to 15 seconds and let go. Your message is encrypted and played right away in the other cars. Nothing is stored.
Can someone without the app follow us?
Yes. In the pack screen, create a live link and share it. Anyone with the link sees your convoy in the browser for 12 hours. You can end it at any time.
Does Leadwolf work with CarPlay and Apple Watch?
The Apple Watch app is included. CarPlay is in preparation. Until then, Leadwolf runs on your iPhone, ideally in a mount, with the next turn on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island.
May I use the app while driving?
As the driver, only as far as traffic law allows. Search and messages are meant for passengers. Voice guidance, Siri and the walkie-talkie work without looking at the screen.
How much does Leadwolf cost?
Leadwolf is free during the beta.
How do I delete my account?
In Leadwolf, tap your avatar in the top right, then “Delete account”. Your account is deleted from our server immediately and the app resets on your iPhone. You can also disconnect Leadwolf in your iPhone settings under Apple Account, “Sign in with Apple”.
Can I send a voice message without touching my iPhone?
Yes. Say “Hey Siri, radio message with Leadwolf” or press the voice button on your steering wheel and say the same. After the tone you talk, a short pause sends it to your pack. You can also put the “Radio message” control on the Action button.
Which languages does Leadwolf speak?
20 languages, including English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Turkish, Russian, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese and Korean. The app follows your iPhone's language. You can change it under Settings, Leadwolf, Language.
